Thermal insulation in large buildings and residential communities

At Torregra we carry out blown thermal insulation in communities, hotels, schools, residences and other large buildings, adapting each intervention to the use and characteristics of the property.

Blown-in thermal insulation

Isolate a building
without stopping its activity

In a large building, the challenge is not only technical, it is also logistical: access, users, schedules and work areas must be coordinated.

Blown-in insulation can be a particularly good fit when suitable air chambers exist, because it allows intervention through spot perforations and subsequent sealing, without dismantling the enclosure.

The system and the necessary access means are defined after the technical study.

Building in use

We plan to minimize disruption and maintain activity when the building allows it.

In phases

We plan by facades, floors or zones according to use.

Preliminary study

Inspection of cameras and access points before budgeting.

Types of buildings we insulate

Each type of building has its own priorities: schedule, safety, user comfort, accessibility, or continuity of activity. We adapt the intervention plan and the selection of insulation to the specific characteristics of each project.

How decisions are made in a homeowners' association

01. Study

We inspect facades, roofs, and chambers to check if blown-in insulation is viable.

02. Report

We prepared the technical proposal and the budget so that the community could evaluate them at the meeting.

03. Approval

The owners' association approves the action and the schedule is set.

04 · Execution

We carry out the work according to the agreed schedule and the accessibility of the building.

If the community does not approve the joint action, each owner can assess the insulation of their home from the inside.
More information about this system can be found on our blown-in thermal insulation page.

Our materials

Insulation materials
for buildings

In buildings for collective use, the choice of insulation must consider the thermal and acoustic performance, the conditions of the chamber, the use of the building and the declared performance of each product, including its behavior in the face of fire when relevant.

Material Strength Selection criteria
Rock wool Good thermal and acoustic performance; high fire resistance products are available When the project prioritizes thermal, acoustic, and fire resistance performance depending on the product
Mineral wool Versatile solution for different chamber configurations Depending on thickness, chamber geometry, and required performance
Cellulose Recycled paper fiber with thermal properties depending on the product Projects where its performance and characteristics are compatible with the camera and use
Cork Natural and renewable material Projects that prioritize natural materials, provided the solution is technically suitable

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible to isolate an entire building without evacuating the residents?

In many cases, yes. Blown-in insulation is installed through targeted perforations and can be planned so that occupants can remain in the building, provided that access, safety, and work organization allow it.

It depends on the surface area, the configuration of the cameras, access to the facades, and the phased planning. The technical study allows for the definition of a realistic schedule before work begins.

It will be presented at the homeowners' association meeting. We will prepare the technical report and the budget so that the community can make an informed decision.

There is no single best material for all buildings. The choice depends on the camera, the lenses, the building's use, and each product's certified performance, including its fire resistance where applicable.

It may be possible to act on specific facades, orientations or areas, but first it is necessary to assess the continuity of the insulation and how a partial intervention will affect the overall behavior of the building.

The price depends on the surface area, the thickness of the air gap, the material, and access to the facade. That's why we conduct a technical study before providing a quote.

Do you want to know if your building can be insulated by blowing?

We study the facades and the roof to check if there are suitable cavities for blown-in insulation and to define the feasible scope of the intervention before preparing the budget.
